Had a fantastic time, and only wish we could have stayed longer, and got to spend more time at Lambert's - especially the courtyard, although we did manage a lovely alfresco sunday morning breakfast!
Lambert's - simply a delightful haven superbly located in the heart of Stamford! - lots of character, beautiful furnishings and well equipped. Courtyard a veritable dream. Great attention to detail including super welcoming provisions [brownies to die for!] We will return.
For Aussies we could not have picked a more quintessentially English cottage in a more idyllic setting, than this one. We found Lambert's Cottage beautifully furnished, decorated and well equipped to be our perfect home away from home, whilst staying in the UK. We couldn't have found a more central place to stay in England's historic Stamford, and loved wandering over the river, round those old streets, shops, eateries and pubs. Also great for exploring further afield adjoining counties. The only disappointing thing was having to leave Lambert's Cottage and return home...but then it wouldn't be a holiday, would it? We would highly recommend Lambert's Cottage to anyone!
